Intarsia Wood Art

from Jim Coleman

Magnolia Manor on the Coast

Part of enjoying my craft is sharing it with others.  With that in mind, in December 2007, I accepted an invitation to Magnolia Manor on the Coast, an active retirement community in Richmond Hill, Georgia.  They hold "Terrific Tuesdays", an opportunity for residents to learn, grow and experience new things.  They really enjoyed learning about Intarsia, the different types of wood that can make up a project, and the artistic decisions I make in its development.  Pam Kullman, Activities/Wellness Director at Magnolia Manor was a delight to work with and I was happy to donate the "Big Foot Clown" to them for all to enjoy.

Comments:

Thank you so much for your time and talent! It was very interesting learning about the different woods, saws, patterns and everything else. Wow! ... Thank you for teaching a few of our residents and myself about your craft! We appreciated it

Thank you!
